My excursions
I'm working for 17 years doing every day, for about 9 months every year, private taxi tours to Olympia from cruise ships arriving by the port Katakolon.
Allow me to believe that this gives me the experience to organize unforgettable tours for you and your families. Because you travel with a cruise ship it is a matter of the greatest import for you, your driver always be near to you for any emergency. It is important to have a driver who won’t work with other customers during you explore the ruins something which happens often and is risky for you to lose your boat. It's important for you to have a driver who is able to organize your tour, the order with which you'll visit the places so you'll be able to avoid the crowded areas. It's important for you as well to have a driver who knows the history and everything for the area. A driver who gives a personal touch to his tours, who is going to show you the culture, the civilization and how the local people live, something which sometimes is the most important for cruisers. Finally to have a driver who likes his job, who doesn’t see it only like a way to live, but see it like an opportunity to communicate.
All the information for the area, with photos texts and maps, which you need to decide what to visit, are in my car. I’ll give take with you, during you explores all the historical places, the official books for them, which are in my car as well. We can discuss together about your taxi tour and make any changes you want in the itinerary, even the day you’ll be here.
To make you feel sure for a secure to your ship return, I’ll give you a mobile phone or a walky talky, whatever you want, with which you can be in touch with me and I with you as well, anytime during you'll visit the ruins, even my car is parked only 200m from you. I personally, no travel agents or relatives, reply your messages so you can have an idea of your driver's level in English language.
These are some of the advantages which I believe that do my private tours completely different than any of the ship's excursions.

I was born in 1958 and being a taxi driver is my only job. I started in 1980 to work as taxi driver in Athens. Since 1993 when we moved from Athens I'm a taxi driver in Pirgos the capital of the region Ilia and wife, my 14 years old daughter and I, live in the countryside outside of a small village called Varvasena, between Pirgosand Ancient Olympia. guestbook as well.
My new car is an E class Mercedes Benz limousine, model 2010. A luxury and safe for any kind of tour car. It's more than enough big for 4 adults, plus the driver and I can take 5 if there are children with you. If you've a larger group, I can find other English speaking drivers who I believe they can do a similar tour, with my standards, under my advices and we'll do the tour together.
