Thank you so much George for a fantastic day in Katakalon/Olympia. We never would have seen as much by taking a ship's tour as we did with you. Olympia was very interesting and the museum was great. We probably spent a little more time there than we anticipated and with the short time we had before lunch, our friends felt there wasn't the proper amount of time to take you up on your generous offer to see your home, which we all would have enjoyed. The winery tour was excellent and a beautiful location. I hope the puppies are doing well. Sincerely, your friends in Canada Paul & Judi Klein Joe & Marg Zarin |

George, Just a quick note to let you know how much Kyle and I enjoyed our short day with you. As you well know, you can only see a very small sample of the country side in the short amount of time we had. Going slow and taking our time seeing the runes and the rest of our time seeing your town and meeting your wonderful family was perfect! We now know what is there and who to call on, when we return. I've attached one of the photos our 'tourist moment, in time'. It's very rare for us do something like this, and in truth a lot of fun. While Kyle lives very close to a beach, no cars are allowed. The closest beach to me is a 10 hour drive, so was especially fun for me. Guess it just shows that some of the simplest things in life can be the most remembered. Take care, Robin |

The best way to see Olympia

host George was an excellent host for our short stop in Katakolon and Olympia from the MSC Poesia on 4 August 2008. George responded very quickly and professionally to our enquiries, and when we arrived in Katakolon George was waiting as close to the ship as possible. We made it to Olympia before the crowds of the tour buses, dropped us off at the front and picked us up there again once we'd finished on the Olympia site. George then showed us around his district and neighbourhood, which was a great short insight to family life in this part of Greece. This was certainly a highlight, and we'd recommend George to anyone as a far more friendly, interesting and simpler way to see Olympia and the surrounding region. |

As our cruise ship seabourn spirit docked in Katakolon on 18 june 2008 and we liked to do a private tour of Olympia , we booked by George, as we had read positive comments on his service. And we are very happy we did ! George, our driver , was waiting for us at the time and place agreed. He was very friendly, spoke excellent English and made some suggestions while driving for a quick stop. He also spoke of his country and it was perfect, he was also a very good driver. We could decide ourselves how long we wanted to stay at the different places as it was a private tour ! So in summary, when we're next time again in Katakolon ( Olympia ), we will without any hesitation book George again ! Ralf & Johan, Belgium |

Hi George,
thank you for the wonderful half-day we had with you last week! My grandma doesn't speak English at all but really enjoyed the trip and still speaks of the friendly and very pleasant driver!
The tour guides that are organised by the cruise companies are said to be very good, and the people found their tours very interesting, but the busses are crowded and not air conditioned. Even for only the two of us we would have paid a lot more to be squeezed into such a bus with 48 other people.
The flexibility of your taxi gave us a lot more value for our money because we were able to go to the museum way before everyone else got there and so we didn't have to wait in line or stand in a crowd to see everything we wanted.
Thank you so much for this very pleasant day in your home country!
Cheers

I was walking to the ship and got very impressed. I was travelling through Greece by Camper. When I strolled from the ship back towards my camper, taxi drivers thought I was a shiptourist, but only one of the taxi drivers had the idea to give me his presentation card - this was George. Thank you George, meanwhile i am back in Switzerland. I wish you and your family all the best. |
