The Mercouri Estate is located in the western Peloponneseon the plateau of the Ichthis Peninsula, near the village of Korakochori. It is an old, large estate with an 150 year-long-history in the production of wine, olive-oil and raisins.

It was founded in 1864 by Theodoros Mercouris, who originated from North Epirus and the Peloponnese, and until today it belongs to Mercouri family, a family with a wide variety of interests and a special cara for the earth.

A tour which is completely different than the excursions for ruins. I definitely reommend it and I'm completely sure in advance that you'll enjoy it. I'm for at least 4 days/week there so I know everybody and I'm able to arrange a tour. You can take a guided tour from the winery plus to taste several kinds of wine.

To do a complete tour you need about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Of course you can do a shorter tour for about 45 minutes. The secret to go there and enjoy it is to avoid as you can the tour buses which are more and more every year. Of course this is not possible all the days which we have many boats by the port.
